Jenna Legg has become Charlton Athletic’s 14th summer signing after the midfielder made the move after two and a half years with Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 21-year-old former England youth international told cafcwomen.co.uk: “[Charlton] are a really ambitious club with a great history. They’ve always been known for playing good, attacking, direct football, which is something I enjoy.

“They’ve set out to get promoted this season and that’s something that I couldn’t wait to be a part of.

“Riteesh [Mishra] has recruited really well, we’ve all gelled well as a group and had some good, strong pre-season performances.”

Legg made 17 appearances at Brighton, helping the Sussex club to promotion from the then FA WSL 2 in 2017/18.

She began her career with Chelsea, graduating through their youth academy, and played for Oxford United on loan during the 2016 season.
