Everton FC have confirmed that Jean-Luc Vasseur has left his role as manager of their women’s team after just ten games at the helm.

The former Lyon boss was in charge for less than 100 days after replacing Willie Kirk and only managed one victory in the WSL.

As well as Vasseur departing, assistant coaches Frédéric Piquionne and Franck Plaine have also left the Toffees.

Chris Roberts and Claire Ditchburn will now take charge of the team on an interim basis, with Everton seven points above the one relegation place and next host Reading on Sunday.

They are still in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup and face Charlton Athletic away in the last sixteen at the end of the month.
