Ipswich Town Women to play two Championship teams

Ipswich Town have arranged six friendlies ahead of their new FAWNL Southern Premier Division campaign starting 20 August.

Joe Sheehan’s side start away at FAWNL newcomers AFC Sudbury on 9 July, followed by a trip to Championship side Charlton Athletic a week later.

The first home friendly is with Peterborough United on 23 July, before visiting Loughborough Lightning at the end of the month.

The Tractor Girls go to Derby County on 6 August and finish up by entertaining second-tier Crystal Palace.

Ipswich Town’s pre-season friendlies:

9 July – AFC Sudbury (H) – Playford Road, 11.30am

16 July – Charlton Athletic (A) – Sparrows Lane, 1pm

23 July – Peterborough United (H) – AGL Arena, 2pm

30 July – Loughborough Lightning (A) – Holywell Sports Complex, TBC

6 August – Derby County (A) – Moor Farm, TBC

13 August – Crystal Palace (H) – AGL Arena, 2pm
