HomeStore Are Suffolk Women's & Girls' Sponsors

The Suffolk FA report that they have struck a deal with Homestore Self Storage to be the county’s main sponsor of girls’ and women’s football.

The agreement will see HomeStore Self Storage, who provide secure storage solutions for domestic and corporate clients, sponsor the new Advanced Coaching Centre and the Girls’ Development Centres at Ipswich and Lowestoft.

It will also see HomeStore Self Storage sponsor the Suffolk FA Women’s Cup and the Ladies’ Representative team during the 2015-16 season.

The company, who have two branches in Suffolk – in Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich – formed eight years ago.

HomeStore Self Storage’s managing director is Martin Tuck, who is chairman of Mildenhall Town FC, and John Taylor, the former Cambridge United striker and manager who also played for other professional and non-league clubs, is manager of the Ipswich branch.

Martin said: “Being a locally based business with two branches in Suffolk we are able to offer a personal service – your requirements are our priority.”

John said: “We try to look after people and give them exactly what they need and do whatever we can for each individual customer – we take away the stress involved when they require storage and our service gives them the time to do other things.”

HomeStore Self Storage support a range of projects in Suffolk, including St Elizabeth Hospice in Ipswich and St Nicholas Hospice in Bury St Edmunds, but with their backgrounds in football Tuck and Taylor are delighted to support Suffolk FA.

The sponsorship comes on the back of England reaching the semi-finals of the Women’s World Cup in Canada for the first time, and the announcement ties in with the opening of a fourth floor at the company’s premises in Wentworth Road in Ipswich.

John said: “We love the game and have been involved for many years and want to put something back, and can’t think of anything better than getting more girls and women involved in football.

“We understand in the current market place the importance of developing and bringing youngsters through and we want to be involved in this by sponsoring the Suffolk FA programmes.

“And we wanted to do the whole package – not just the coaching and development centres but sponsoring the women’s cup and the ladies’ representative team as well.”

Suffolk FA Football Development Manager Nathan French said: “I’m delighted that HomeStore will be the new sponsor for Girls’ and Women’s football in Suffolk.

“With Suffolk FA just launching its new four-year strategy and the girls’ and women’s game featuring highly in this, it’s fantastic to be able to announce our new sponsors.

“I would like to thank Martin and his staff at HomeStore in sponsoring us and I’m looking forward to working with them throughout the 2015-16 season.”

Suffolk FA Girls’ & Women’s Football Development Officer Paige Shorten said: “This is a really exciting time for Suffolk FA and the female pathway and it is great to have HomeStore sponsor the female pathway in our county!

“I am really looking forward to the new strategy and 2015-16 season for girls’ football where we will be working with over 100 girls a week in the FA Girls’ Advanced Coaching Centre and Suffolk FA Girls’ Development Centres in Ipswich and Lowestoft.”
