Hibernian had to be patient at Hamilton Academical, before sealing victory with two goals in the last 17 minutes.
Rachel McLauchlan forced a great save out of Hamilton keeper Elaine Fleming and Kirsty Smith clipped the Accies’ crossbar, before Rachel Small got on the end of an Abi Harrison cross to nod home on 14 minutes.
Harrison’s looping header hit the bar but on 73 minutes and Small turned in the box to fire into the far corner and double the lead.
Both keepers then made fine stops as Hannah Reid denied the hosts a goal and Hibs’ Ellis Notley threatened from distance.
It was 3-0 on 86 minutes as Lia Tweedie cut inside and slotted the ball in at the front post.
Abby Grant’s goal in the opening seconds set Glasgow City on the way to a 5-0 win over Rangers, as they remained in touch with the leaders and with a game in hand.

It was 2-0 with only 4 minutes played, as Hayley Lauder crossed and Noelle Murray placed the ball past the keeper.
Lisa Swanson had an effort well saved by Lee Alexander as Rangers looked to respond and then at the other end, Jordyn Elliot did very well to push over Lauder’s strike.
Six minutes into the second half and a Leanne Ross free-kick was deflected in off the Rangers wall for 3-0.
After Lauder was again thwarted by Elliot, Ross struck with another set piece, this time straight into top corner.
Swanson was shown a second yellow card for a heavy challenge on Ross and Leanne Crichton smashed home from 25 yards in added time
Third-placed Celtic sank basement side Aberdeen with seven goals.
Celtic were two up in 18 minutes, with Suzanne Mulvey playing Ruesha Littlejohn through to score and Jaclyn Poucel then setting up Mulvey to net herself.
Kirsty Howat buried a 35-yarder and made it 4-0 by the break from Littlejohn’s through ball.
Georgie Rafferty had a hat-trick of assists in the last halh-hour; crossing for Poucel to head home, sending Mulvey away to score her second and finally delivering for Ross to nod in.
Stirling leapfrogged Spartans into fourth position when winning away to them by the only goal.
Spartans’ keeper Rachel Harrison did well to save from Nicole Pullar, with the home side’s Kaela McDonald then blocked out by Jennifer Godfrey.
Michelle Russell drraged her shot wide from inside the six-yard box and Pullar was also similarly wide for Stirling.
The breakthrough came on 65 minutes, when Rachel Donaldson was played through and beat a defender before slotting under the keeper.
