Hibs won 3-0 away to mid-table Stirling University on Wednesday, to go two points ahead of the reigning champions at the top of the table.
Two quickfire goals in the first 20 minutes set them on their way, as Amy Gallacher crossed for Lucy Graham to head in the opener and then Abi Harrison drove into the box to put the ball beyond keeper Chloe Logan.
Logan made a point-blank stop to prevent Hibs extending their lead before the break and Stirling’s Nicole Pullar beat the offside trap but could not find a finish.
Cailin Michie and Rachel McLauchlan went close to getting the third Hibs’ goal but it then needed an impressive block from Siobhan Hunter to retain their two-goal cushion.
The points were hoewvere made safe in the last 10 minutes, as Harrison picked up the ball on the edge of the box and fired high into the net.
