Four In A Row For Hibernian

Hibernian broke the deadlock when Rachel Small turned Amy Gallacher’s cross onto the post and netted the rebound.

Abi Harrison managed to head home the second from Emma Brownlie’s cross, despite having her back to goal.

Harrison volleyed against the upright before Brownlie brought down Kirsty Howat and Natalie Ross converted the penalty.

But Hibs completed the scoring when Katey Turner fired home and a fourth straight win was recorded.

City Stay On Hibs’ Heels

Glasgow City remain two points behind the leaders following a 3-1 win at basement side Hamilton.

Noelle Murray netted the opener after being set up by Abbi Grant on 25 minutes and shortly afterwards, Lauren McMurchie curled in City’s second.

Accies replied when Mhairi Lyle bundled the ball over the line but they then somehow survived having their woodowrk struck three times in as many minutes.

Brogan Hay eventually scored City’s third, firing into the back of the net after a Hayley Lauder cross.

Spartans Settle For One Against Stirling

Spartans are still goal-difference short of the reigning champions after a 1-0 victory at Stirling University.

Collette Cavanagh lobbed the keeper to put Spartans into a 38th-minute lead.

Stirling keeper Chloe Logan then kept her side in the match with a fine performance between the sticks.

Rangers Leave It Late

Rangers got off the mark with all three points at home to Aberdeen but it needed a dramatic late goal.

Claire Adams shot between two Dons defenders to score in the 94th minute.

Hearts First To Deny Forfar

Forfar Famington dropped their first points of the SWPL 2 campaign when held 1-1 at Hearts. It might have been all three for the hosts but Gemma Coliier nodded home an 87th-minute leveller to cancel out a Jen Dodds effort.

Glasgow Girls closed the gap on the top team to a single point with a 4-0 victory at East Fife.

Buchan banked a second win to lead the mid-table group, sending Jeanfield Swifts to a 5-2 defeat.

Motherwell leapfrogged EUHV into fifth by beating them 3-0 away. A goal early and late in the first half set the visitors on the road to victory.
