Hibernian to host Rangers in Women’s Scottish Cup quarter-finals

Hibernian beat Glasgow City on penalties to set up a Scottish Gas Women’s Cup quarter-final with Rangers next month.

Leah Eddie cancelled out a Lauren Davidson opener for Glasgow City, before Joelle Murray eventually won the shoot-out for Hibs.

Rangers had eased through to the last eight with a 9-0 thrashing of Dundee United.

Celtic – 6-0 winners over Hamilton Academical – will look to continue their defence of the trophy away to SWPL 1 newcomers Montrose, who beat Stirling University 5-0.

Partick Thistle will take on Hearts having already made it through to the Sky Sports SWPL Cup final. The Jags beat Queen’s Park 3-1 on Sunday, Hearts put ten past East Fife.

Livingston are the outsiders, being the only SWPL 2 team remaining in the competition after eliminating Gartcairn on penalties. They travel to Spartans, who knocked out Aberdeen 2-1.
