Hayley James Joins Leicester

Having played for Loughborough Students for the past 3 seasons, Hayley James scored a fantastic goal at Riverside Pavilion last season but was unable to put a stop to Leicester on their way to 22 wins out of 22.

The Foxes say ‘Hayley has been a key figure in football in Leicestershire over the past three years at Loughborough and will add to Leicester’s strength in depth for the upcoming season.’

James commented; “The professionalism shown by the club has always attracted me to Leicester and now with the added challenge of playing in the Northern Prem, Leicester was the perfect team for me to join.

“The competitiveness of the club allows you to develop as much as possible as a player whilst also, always being in a positive atmosphere. The club has been more than happy to help with all aspects of recovery from my recent operation, and has made me feel welcome and still constantly involved with the team.

“I’m looking forward to the season ahead and showing everyone that we deserve our place in this league.”

Manager Jonatham Morgan commented; “Hayley is a hard-working and dedicated individual that we are delighted to have captured. She offers us something different in defence by loving to get forward but also being a no-nonsense tackling individual.

“She will bring with her a good work ethic and a hard working mentality which is exactly what we’re looking for within the club. Over the last two years, Hayley has caught my eye and when we heard she was available, I knew she was someone we wanted to bring in.”
