Five players have committed to new contracts with West Ham United ahead of the 2020-21 Barclays FA Women’s Super League season.

A ‘key group of core first-team stars’ have extended their stays, as captain Gilly Flaherty, forward Alisha Lehmann, Korean midfielder Cho So-hyun and Canadian attacker Adriana Leon signed new two-year deals, while French international Kenza Dali’s deal keeps her with the Hammers until summer 2021.

Head coach Matt Beard told whufc.com: “The five players who have committed their futures to the Irons have proven themselves to be key individuals in our team, both on and off the pitch, and help to form the spine of a side that I am confident can challenge for honours in the new season and beyond.”

Both defender Flaherty and Swiss international Lehmann are two games short of 50 appearances for the club, while Dali finished as the team’s top scorer in the curtailed 2019/20 campaign, netting seven times in 19 matches.
