Guiseley Sign Sarah Danby

The Vixens say they are ecstatic to grab the signature of such a high profile player. Operating mostly down the left, Danby amassed an impressive 35 goals in 75 games over the last 3 seasons for Bradford City in the FA WPL.

Co-Manager Preston stated: “Danby’s a player we really wanted from the start! I know Sarah all too well from my time at Huddersfield Town, where she was more than just a handful, so when word came about we might be front runners to grab her signature we knew we had to move fast.

“I must say that once we met with Sarah we knew she was the kind of person we wanted to see at the club, she’s a humble, down to earth kind of lass with a big heart, which fits the DNA of the club, so all in all it’s a magnificent capture for us! It’s a statement of our ambition, our ability to attract top class talent and the direction the club is heading!”

Talking about the move, Danby added: “I’m really excited to be starting a new challenge with Guiseley this season. I know a lot of the current players & after speaking with the management and their future plans it’s clear to see the club is progressing in the right direction. The league is probably going to be the most competitive it’s been for a few years and there’s a few derbies for us to look forward to. I can’t wait to get started & hopefully push for promotion.”

Guiseley promise several more high profile signings over the next week or so.
