Guiseley Get Former England U-17 Defender

Okonta joins the Vixens having previously played for Chelsea Development, as well as representing England U-17s during her education at Colchester United Center of Excellence.

Manager Kyle O’Reilly said on the signing: “Henrietta is a big addition to an already strong squad, the signing is a statement of how we want to operate moving forwards bringing in top young talent, alongside the best established players from within the FA Women’s Premier League and WSL, we’re looking forward to working with Henn and can’t wait to see her sporting Guiseley’s colours doing what she does best!”

Henrietta is due to link up with the squad in September when she returns to university and said; “I have heard such great things about this team and I can’t wait to start playing for a quality club with good staff and great facilities.”

The Vixens say that Henrietta is the first of several transfers to be announced over pre-season and they expect some more quality additions to propel Guiseley to the summit of women’s football over the coming seasons.
