Glasgow City win SWPL top of the table clash

Glasgow City went six points clear at the top of the Scottish Women’s Premier League when scoring the only goal of the game at Celtic.

Priscila Chinchilla slotted home Glasgow City’s winner in the second half, Rangers are now just one point behind Celtic after also winning 1-0 at Spartans where Brogan Hay made the breakthrough.

Partick Thistle moved back into the top-six with one game left before the split. They came back from two down to lead Aberdeen 3-2, Imogen Longcake netting their decisive fourth goal.

Katie Rice and Louisa Boyes struck to give Motherwell victory over Dundee United and a lift up into seventh spot.

East Fife 1-3 Kilmarnock
St Johnstone 0-0 Montrose
Queen’s Park 3-0 Stirling University

Although Montrose were held 0-0 at St Johnstone, they extended their lead at the top to six points as title rivals Gartcairn were thrashed by Boroughmuir.
