Glasgow City And Hibs Reach SWPL Cup Final

Sunday May 8th
SCOTTISH PREMIER LEAGUE CUP SEMI-FINALS
Glasgow City 1-0 Aberdeen

Glasgow City got the only goal of the game against an Aberdeen side who have had a difficult start to their SWPL campaign.

The Dons’ keeper, Becky Flaherty, denied Erin Cuthbert and Julie Fleeting in quick ussccession miway through the first half, turning the latter out for a corner.

City had a goal ruled out for a fowl on 38 minutes but were ahead by the break as Clare Shine charged down an attempted clearance before curling the ball home.

Glasgow were unable to put the game to bed with a second goal but Fleeting went closest in the last minute, hitting the bar from the edge of the area.

Hibernian 4-1 Rangers

Abi Harrison scored early in each half, as Hibernian ran out 4-1 winners over Rangers.

Lizzie Arnot tapped in the third from close range, midway through the second half.

Rangers had a lifeline with 15 minutes to go, Chantelle Brown pulling one back with a great chip over the keeper.

But in the dying minutes, Sarah Ewens raced onto a through ball from Rachel McLauchlan to lob in her first goal for Hibs.
