How Germany and Spain reached the semi-finals
Germany defied all odds to reach the semi-final from their last meeting with France.
Christian Wuck’s side went down to 10 players after just 13 minutes, conceding a penalty after Kathrin Hendrich was sent off for a hair pull.
If anything, the red card only seemed to spur Germany on, as Sjoeke Nusken equalised 10 minutes later, and they took the game to extra-time and penalties.
Former Women’s Super League goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger made two saves during the penaty shootout to send Germany to the final.
However, they face a Spain side who are the strong favourites to win the tournament for the first time.
Spain were expected to comfortably beat Switzerland after scoring 14 goals during the group stage.
However, Switzerland made Spain work hard for their 2-0 win. Spain didn’t help their cause by failing to score two penalties during the game.
A 1-0 win the last time we faced Spain 😍

What is the team news ahead of Germany vs Spain
Germany face a defensive crisis going into their match with Spain.
Sarai Linder has joined Giulia Gwinn on the injury list, while Kathrin Hendrich is suspended after her red card vs France.
Also missing the game is Sjoeke Nusken, who picked up her second yellow card of the tournament in the quarter-final.
Carlotta Wamser will return following her one-game suspension, while Lea Schuller could be brought in after being benched against France.
Spain will be without Laia Aleixandri who also picked up her second yellow card of the tournament.
Esther Gonzalez will lead the line and the favourite for the Golden Boot will look to add to her four goals at the tournament.
Germany Women predicted XI:Berger; Wamser, Knaak, Minge, Kleinherne, Kett; Brand, Senss, Dabritz, Buhl; Schuller

Germany vs Spain prediction
Germany are the most successful team in the tournament’s history, winning it eight out of the 13 occasions it has taken place.
They also showed tremendous spirit to beat France at the quarter-final stage.
However, a test against Spain could prove to be too much for Christian Wuck’s side.
Spain have the most dangerous attack in the tournament and Germany go into the game without a number of their key defensive options.
So here at SheKicks, we predict a 3-1 victory for Spain, which according to the UK’s best betting sites, is available at odds of 9/1.
Prediction: Germany 1-3 Spain– 9/1

Germany vs Spain betting tips
- Germany vs Spain betting tip 1: Claudia Pina to score, Spain to win and both teams to score – 11/4
Spain star Claudia Pina scored her second goal of Euro 2025 in the 2-0 win over Switzerland.
The 23-year-old is in high spirits and is showcasing her ability as a star of the present and future for this Spain squad.
Spain have plenty of scoring options, but here at SheKicks we predict that Pina will add to her tally against Germany.
The tournament favourites should reach the final but Germany will give it a good fight and could get on the scoresheet.
- Germany vs Spain betting tip 2: Alexia Putellas and Lea Schuller to have 2 or more shots on target each – 7/1
Alexia Putellas has failed to score in Spain’s last two games but she is heavily involved in the attacking play for her country and will likely test Ann-Katrin Berger on Wednesday night.
Lea Schuller is likely to be brought back in after being dropped to the bench against France and will be a threat for Germany against Spain.
