Germany edged France 1-0 and Spain beat the Netherlands 3-0 in the UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship semi-finals in Sarajevo.

Germany continued their defence of the trophy but had a scare when Eve Boettcher just prevented Charline Coutel’s half-volley from crossing the line.

The only goal came before the break, as Alara Sehitler lobbed Feerine Belhadj from distance, while Marie Steiner hit the post early in the second half.

Spain scored just four minutes in against the Dutch, Lucía Corrales laying the ball back for Nina Pou to finish.

In the last 20 minutes, Victoria López beat several defenders and set up Pou for her second, before playing in Olaya Enrique to net right at the end.

The final is on Sunday 15 May, kick off 7pm (UK time) and live on the BBC Red Button, BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport Website and uefa.tv.

The finalists have qualified for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India from 11 to 30 October, while France and the Netherlands will play off on Sunday to fill the third spot
