Genero Adran Trophy Final to be all-Cardiff clash again

Cardiff Met and Cardiff City Women will again contest the Genero Adran Trophy Final, as both made it through with 3-1 victories.

Genero Adran Trophy Semi-Finals 

Cardiff Met 3-1 Aberystwyth Town
Cardiff City Women 3-1 The New Saints

Cardiff City had to come from behind to defeat The New Saints, Caitlin Chapman’s cross looping in for the away team. Although Phoebie Poole dragged a spot-kick wide for City, Manon Pearce volleyed them level, a Siobhan Walsh header and Poole chip then securing a final spot.

Holders Cardiff Met saw off Aberystwyth Town, Ellie Preece with the opener before crossing for Tija Richardson to double the lead with a flick header. Emily Allen fired in the third, Amy Jenkins pulling one back.

The final will take place on Sunday 12 March, venue to be confirmed.

Wrexham 6-0 Llanfair United
Felinheli 6-1 Airbus UK

Connah’s Quay Nomads stayed top thanks to Elana Harley’s 71st minute effort at Rhyl, Wrexham remained on their heels when hitting Llanfair for six as Rosie Hughes and Lily Whitefoot shared the spoils.

Katie Midwinter and Ffion Williams both struck twice during Felinheli’s 6-1 defeat of Airbus UK.

Caldicot Town 0-3 Cascade

Cascade beat basement side Caldicot Town to go within two points of leaders Briton Ferry, having played a game more.
