FUN FRIDAY 28/2/14

We’re having a break from Spotty Differences today. I know! So, we’ve got you 5 anagrams and 5 pic teasers (to follow) instead…

ALL OVER THE PLACE
Most of the home nations international squads are hopping on planes to compete in friendly tournaments in slightly wamer climes (Cyprus, Algarve, La Manga – all over the place!), in the next few days and weeks. So, we imagined what would happen if your average baggage handler was in charge of making sure the players’ names arrived at their correct destination, still in one piece and in the right order…

Here’s five players, one from each of the national team senior squads, based in the British Isles (Eng, N. Ireland, Rep of Ireland, Scot, Wales), with their names all jumbled up. Can you work out who they are? Good luck!

Sheep Oiling (Wales)
Mooing Arena (EIRE)
Yip Baled Horse (England)
Healthy Snout (N. Ireland)
No Realness (Scotland)

Answers at bottom.

SOFTY FOCUSSED
Seeing players doing well and winning things, especially when they are truly deserved, makes me a bit misty eyed. I am soft. Which must be why some of these pics have gone a bit (selectively) blurry?! Can you see through the salty (but happy) tears, and work out WHO it is and WHAT TROPHY/AWARD they are holding? We’ve given you the year to help you out…

1. In 2013…

2. In 2010…

3. In 2013…

4. In 2007… (and can you name the four players with the blurry faces?)

5. In 2011…
