Spot The Difference
While the standard of international women’s football improves rapidly, some (only some, we’re not picking on all!) areas like officiating, struggle to keep up. The Hungarian coach was so incensed with the refereeing team during his team’s game against Iceland that he refused to shake their hands, one of his players also got taken to hospital. We hope she’s ok, we’re sending her healing vibes. It wasn’t all bad though ‘cos we got this pic of her leaving the field (by Cliff Rice) and thought – that would make a good Spot the Diff…
And of course, England meted out a teeny bit of revenge (though it only made a small dent) to Olympic Bronze medallists Canada by beating them 1-0 to lift the Cyprus Cup. They look good with a trophy don’t they. More please!
