While Spain remain top in the latest FIFA/Cola-Cola Women’s World Ranking, France take second position from England.
Spain increased their lead to reach their highest-ever points total as France went second for the first time, while Germany overtook the USA who slip to fifth place.
Sweden, Japan and Canada sit sixth, seventh and eighth respectively, Brazil climb to ninth and North Korea move up to tenth, pushing the Netherlands down three and out of the top ten for the first time in seven years.
Scotland’s standing improved by one to 23rd, Republic of Ireland stay 25th, Wales rose to 31st and Northern Ireland drop two to 48th.
Zambia not only reached their best-ever placing of 64th but also hit their highest points total, Puerto Rico, El Salvador and Congo DR others to record the latter achievement.
North Macedonia made the biggest advance of a dozen places, the form of El Salvador and Montenegro also gaining notable recognition, while Belarus notched the biggest points gain of nearly 32 points.
