Four days of Conti Cup ties

The FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup group stage nears conclusion with a run of games from Thursday through to Sunday.

Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland go in search of their first points on Thursday, before meeting again in the FA Cup  on 8 January.

Friday brings a possible Group D decider, with Lewes hosting Bristol City, whom they lead by three points. Coventry United take on Reading in Group E, with both three points behind leaders Tottenham Hotspur, who entertain Everton at Brisbane Road in the BWSL on Wednesday (7pm, – live on The FA Player) before going to Southampton in the Conti Cup on Sunday lunchtime.

Saturday sees Everton and Durham challenging for second place in Group A, Manchester City set to win Group B if they avoid defeat at Leicester City, Group C top two clash as Brighton welcome West Ham clash, while Birmingham City – who are also still hopeful of progressing to the quarter-finals – home to London City Lionesses.

Meanwhile, Arsenal and Chelsea – given byes to the last eight – squeeze in their last two UWCL group games before Christmas. The Gunners host Lyon on Thursday (Emirates Stadium, 8pm) and visit Zurich next Wednesday (5.45pm), the Blues are away to Vllaznia this Friday (5.45pm) and then home to PSG on Thursday 22 December (Stamford Bridge, 8pm). As well as Southampton versus Spurs, Sunday sees Manchester United meet Sheffield United and a derby between Charlton Athletic and Crystal Palace, with the Addicks still chasing a quarter-final place.
