Throughout her international career she earned 231 caps and scored 47 goals for her country.
As one of USA’s most decorated players, Heather helped her team to win the FIFA World Cup in 2015 and she has also achieved three Olympic gold medals in recent years.
Heather said: “Having come over to Arsenal last year to train, I was very impressed with the club. The facilities are world class and they have a tradition of excellence at the club that I wanted to be a part of, I’m very happy to be here.”
