Port Talbot say that Staples has a wealth of experience when it comes to Girls’ and Women’s football, having been the head coach for the Wales U-15 squad, as well as the assistant coach to the Wales U-17s and U-19.
He also holds a UEFA A License and is well known for his time as a coach and Academy director at Welsh Premier League club, Carmarthen Town.
The appoitment also sees Hayley Williams stepping in as an assistant coach and Matthew Parker taking up the role of Goalkeeping coach.
