Forfar and Stenhousemuir win big in SWF League One

SWF League One leaders Forfar Farmington and second-placed Stenhousemuir both recorded nine-goal margins of victory.

Forfar continues to be a tough place to visit, with Farmington putting ten goals past Airdrie, while Josie Cawood and Eva Ralston both hit hat-tricks in Stenny’s 9-0 home win against Giffnock SC at Ochilview.

A 4-0 away victory for Edinburgh Caledonia against St Mirren lifted the capital side back into the top half of the table, just behind Bonnyrigg Rose who came away from Dundee West with maximum points in a 5-3 thriller.

In the SWF Championship, leaders Rossvale continued their dominant form with a 5-1 home victory over Morton, while East Fife moved up to third with a narrow 3-2 home win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

With the league split approaching, the middle of the Championship table is hotly contested. Dryburgh Athletic came from behind in Wester Hailes to beat Hutchison Vale 2-1, lifting them up to fifth above Renfrew and Westdyke, who played out a thrilling 2-2 draw.

Michaela Mensa opened the scoring for the Aberdeenshire side within ten minutes, before Renfrew hit back through Michaela Brown and Holly McIndoe either side of half time. In the 90th minute, Ciara Craig hit a sweet chip over Rachel Docherty in the Renfrew goal to earn a point for the visitors.

In the regional SWFL, Elgin City moved up to second in North with an impressive 7-0 victory over Grampian, while Edinburgh South won the derby in East, defeating Edinburgh University Thistle 9-4.

Kilwinning continued to press in South, beating Cumnock 4-0 to move within a point of leaders Ayr United Development, while in West, Dunipace stay top after beating Dumbarton United 7-2.
