Forest Manager / Head Coach Vacancy

The successful candidate will be gifted the opportunity to work with players from a 36 strong squad to play in the FA Women’s Premier League (Northern Division).

NFLFC have reached significant milestones during their 25+ year history and candidates who reflect the Clubs ambition and ethos will be well received. Importantly, those candidates with the relevant practical and knowledgeable skill set who can also demonstrate excellent people management skills will be acknowledged as a priority.

The key roles of the position involves co-ordination, organisation and delivery of well –structured and professional coaching sessions on training evenings (Tuesday/Thursday) alongside delivering player specific development plans, player management and team cohesion activities throughout the season. Availability to manage and coach the team for all home and away games on Sundays and sometimes midweek is also essential.
Qualification Requirements for the position are as follows:
– Essential UEFA B Licence
– Desirable A Licence (or working towards)

Relevant experience of coaching/managing a Women’s Premier League team or equivalent experience is prioritised.

Steve Stennety had been forced to step down from his role after just over 2 seasons at the helm, due to family commitments that will be ongoing.

Club Chairperson, PJ Andrews says; “Steve has been a fantastic asset to this club and to me personally and we have nothing but respect, friendship and appreciation for him and his contribution. Whilst he will be really missed, I fully appreciate his reasons for leaving when family will now come first after many hours of dedication to the game.”

Steve Stennett says of his departure “To say I am gutted would be an understatement – but after much communication with the club, due to these unforeseen circumstances of a personal nature, I could not give my full focus and time which is what the club and players deserve.”
