Five in a row for Dartford, Real Bedford and Wythenshawe

Dartford, Real Bedford and Wythenshawe all extended their winning Regional League starts to a fifth game on Sunday 17 September.

EASTERN – Bedford make it five in a row

Premier – Real Bedford have five wins from five after getting the only goal at Bowers & Pitsea. Luton Town and Royston Town tied 1-1, Wroxham’s Ella Gambell bagged a brace in a 4-2 win at Needham Market, Stevenage hit hosts Kings Lynn Town for six. St Albans City’s season-ticket sales reached 200 before the 3-2 home defeat by Barking, for whom Ammarah Ali scored twice.

1 North – Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers, Newmarket Town and Mulbarton Wanderers all made it three straight wins. Tallulah Bell gave Rovers the points at  Thetford Town who had sub Kamile Omeleviciute sent off, Newmarket substitute Violet Jones struck to defeat Histon and the Belles beat Wootton Blue Cross 2-1. Harpenden Town hit four second-half goals in a 7-2 sinking of Fakenham Town, Yaxley Phoenix were 4-1 winners at St Ives Town and Stevenage Devs defeated Biggleswade United Reds 2-0.

1 South – Leaders Wodson Park stayed unbeaten as sub Sophie Vale made it 2-2 in front of 138 at Lawford, Watford Ladies Devs ran out 7-2 winners at Southend United where Rebecca Lovelace netted three times in eight minutes and Etta Sam also notched a treble. Chloe O’Brien’s double helped Billericay Town Devs to a 3-1 result at Hutton, Wormley Rovers took the points 4-2 at Stanway Pegasus and Hertford Town got all three goals at Grays Athletic.

EAST MIDLANDS – Two wins for Lincoln United sides

Premier – Lincoln United have maximum points from three games after a 4-1 defeat of Anstey Nomads, Chesterfield Ladies are second having edged Grimsby Town with an Imogen Fowler goal. Ilkeston Town won 4-1 at Long Eaton United, Mansfield Town 3-0 at Basford United.

1 Central – Arnold Eagles are the only side with a perfect record just two games in, following a 2-0 victory at Notts County Devs. Nottingham Trent University won 3-1 at Loughborough Foxes Vixens, West Bridgford 2-1 at Sandiacre Town, while Sherwood beat Asfordby Amateurs 2-1 with a couple from Kitty Ward.

1 North – Lincoln United Devs kicked off with a 6-3 a scoreline over Retford that featured an April Hallam hat-trick, SJR Worksop sent Sleaford Town to an 8-1 defeat.

1 South – Thrapston Town sub Emma Stevenson took only four minutes to score the winner in a 2-1 result at Cardea, Leicester City Ladies beat Buckingham United 4-1 with three goals by Lola Barrett, Stamford’s Jessica Broadway came off the bench to net twice in a 3-3 draw at Newport Pagnell Town, Nuneaton Borough and New Bradwell St Peter ended one apiece.

LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Five-star Darts

Premier – Dartford defeated Enfield Town 4-1 for five wins on the spin, Fulham won at Saltdean United by the same score, Ebbsfleet United went one better at Crawley. Dulwich Hamlet defeated Millwall Lionesses 2-0 watched by a crowd of 335, Aylesford’s 4-1 defeat of Dorking Wanderers included a Kara Richardson hat-trick, while Ashford United won 3-1 at Sutton United.

1 North – Sport London E Benfica went top when they beat Brentford by the odd goal in five, Denham United second by defeating Richmond Park 4-0. Actonians Reserves’ Kayleigh Peters scored the sole goal at Hackney, Dulwich Hamlet Reserves came away from Ashmount Leigh 2-1 winners and Clapton’s crowd of 138 saw them put six past Camden & Islington United.

1 South – Newhaven saw off Herne Bay 2-0 to make it four consecutive wins, Hastings United had 150 in for the visit of Bromley who left 7-2 victors as Charlotte Lee scored three. Welling United sub Jessica Oldfield got the decider in defeating Eastbourne United 2-1, Bexhill United and Dartford Reserves drew 1-1.

NORTH EAST – Hartlepool held 5-5

Premier – Sunderland West End and Spennymoor Town both have three wins from three after 3-2 away results, at Hull United and Redcar Town respectively. Hartlepool United and Wakefield shared ten goals, Barnsley FC beat Bradford City 3-1 and it finished 2-2 between Harrogate Town and Alnwick Town, plus Wallsend BC and South Shields.

1 North – Sunderland U-23s got four second-half goals in their victory at Gateshead, Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves had a walkover against Blyth Town.

1 South – Millmoor edged a nine-goal thriller at Lower Hopton aided by Alesha Gale’s brace, Natalie Riley gave Altofts a stoppage-time equaliser against York City Devs, York Railway Institute sub Stazia Seaton scored in a 3-3 tie with Chesterfield FC Women. Ossett United overcame Sheffield United Foundation 6-1 and Handsworth stuck thirteen past Ripon City.

NORTH WEST – Darwen win at leaders

Premier – Top team Tranmere Rovers went down 2-1 at home to Darwen who go second as a result, Fleetwood Town Wrens pipped Curzon Ashton 4-3, Cheadle Town Stingers beat Blackburn CSC 3-2 with Sophie John twice on target, Crewe Alexandra won 3-1 at Blackpool.

1 North – Bolton Wanderers picked up three points 5-2 at Penwortham Town, Radcliffe won 4-2 over Workington Reds aided by Anna Keeling’s ten-minute double, elsewhere it ended; Accrington Stanley 3-1 Preston North End, Haslingden 7-2 Carlisle United. Morecambe 6-0 Fleetwood Town Wrens Reserves.

1 South – Wythenshawe are up to five wins in a row with six goals at Runcorn Linnets, FC St. Helens did likewise against Litherland REMYCA. Subs Ellie Bradley and Rachel Lloyd got late goals to seal a 4-2 Chester victory at Altrincham, Hindley won 3-2 at Ellesmere Port Town. Poulton Vics stormed to a 11-1 victory at Northwich Vixens, Warrington Wolves won 8-2 against Mossley Hill Athletic.

SOUTHERN – Subs strike for Ascot

Premier – Ascot United’s 4-3 result over Oxford City came after goals by subs Nicole Brown and Tiffany Skinner, Winchester City Flyers won at Eastleigh with a Hannah Chalk effort. Bournemouth Sports and Woodley United drew 1-1, while it was two each for Wycombe Wanderers and Warminster Town.

1 North – Wycombe Wanderers U-23s ran out 8-2 winners at Caversham United where Amara Qureshi grabbed a first-half treble, Ascot United Reserves won 3-1 at Kidlington with Millie Bilcliff’s six-minute brace.

1 South – AFC Portchester bagged both goals at Woking, AFC Stoneham beat Abbey Rangers 5-1, while Havant & Waterlooville and Rushmoor were 3-1 winners over Fleet Town and Eastleigh Devs respectively.

SOUTH WEST –  Shaftesbury’s Castle claims all four

Premier – Bristol Rovers’ Laura Curnock got three of their four goals at Frampton Rangers, Pucklechurch Sports scored five at Liskeard Athletic, Forest Green Rovers did similar at Sherborne Town who replied twice. Larkhall Athletic lost out 3-2 to visitors AFC St Austell, Marine Academy Plymouth beat Bishops Lydeard 4-1.

1 East – Shaftesbury’s Nikki Castle got all four goals in the defeat of Ridgeway, Stockwood Wanderers won 5-3 at Purton, Poole Town beat Bath City 4-1 and  Royal Wootton Bassett Town overcame Frome Town 5-1.

1 North – Bitton beat St Vallier 4-1,Weston super Mare won by the same score against Downend Flyers. Mangotsfield United beat Bristol Rovers Devs 2-0 and there were 2-2 ties for Gloucester City v AEK Boco and SGS Olveston United v Paulton Rovers.

1 West – Sticker stuck away five at Middlezoy, Ilminster Town were 4-1 winners over Helston Athletic and Saltash United saw off Feniton 4-2.

WEST MIDLANDS – Hereford Pegasus win 4-3 in added time

Premier –  Burton Albion’s goalless draw with Kidderminster Harriers allowed Lye Town to go top, having got the only goal at Shifnal Town. Worcester City’s 5-1 over win Lichfield City was watched by 177,  Shrewsbury Town defeated Solihull Sporting 4-0, Coundon Court won 2-1 at Knowle and Coventry Sphinx cut down Crusaders 8-1 away.

1 North – Walsall FC’s Mia Fellows found the net for a 2-1 result at Coventry City, AFC Telford United’s Abby White got the only goal at Tamworth. There were also away wins for Leek Town Reserves (2-0 at Coventrians) and Port Vale (5-2 at Lichfield City Reserves), while the only home points were claimed when Walsall Wood defeated Darlaston Town 7-2.

1 South – Emily Lewis netted in the 93rd minute to see Hereford Pegasus edge Bewdley Town 4-3, Rugby Town’s Nicole Evans hit a hat-trick but away side Alvechurch held them 5-5. Droitwich Spa defeated Sedgley & Gornal United 3-1 away, Leamington Lions were 5-1 winners over Redditch United and Long Itchington v Redditch Borough was a 1-1 draw.
