Well that was fun! Though if you are of the dragon persuasion, maybe less so but we hope you enjoyed it and were rightly proud of the team. The atmosphere was brilliant, the commitment was there all over the field, the pace of the game was frenetic.
In the end, the Lionesses were too good for a spirited Wales side who matched them for 50 or so minutes. Some quality football from England in the second half and three goals in pretty quick succession (given that Wales had not conceded in the whole campaign to that point), were enough to secure a place in France next summer. World Cup people! Wales have another few days to wait and hope and we are hoping with them.
