Italy netted five times against Croatia but still trail their FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying group leaders Switzerland on goals scored.
Group B: Scotland 2-1 Hungary
Rachel Corsie’s later winner allowed Scotland to extend their winning start, after Fanny Vago had cancelled out Christy Grimshaw’s opener.
Group C: Cyprus 0-8 Netherlands, Iceland 4-0 Czech Republic
Vivianne Miedema scored just three minutes into the Netherlands game in Cyprus but it was Jill Roord who hit a hat-trick in the 8-0 win, as the Dutch moved three points clear at the top of the table.
Iceland got off the mark with a 4-0 defeat of second-placed Czech Republic, West Ham’s Dagný Brynjarsdóttir among the second-half goals after the hosts led at the break through an own-goal.
Group D: Austria 5-0 Luxembourg
Austria moved three points ahead of both England and Northern Ireland from one game more, with five goals against Luxembourg. Nicole Billa set up the win with goals either side of the interval.
Group G: Italy 3-0 Croatia, Switzerland 2-0 Romania
Switzerland lead the group just on goals scored after defeating Romania 2-0, a third win on the spin, as
Italy have also won their first three games and made a flying start against Croatia. Valentina Cernoia netting two minutes in and Cristiana Girelli adding a penalty inside ten minutes. Valeria Pirone completed the scoring
Group I: France 11-0 Estonia, Kazakhstan 0-1 Greece, Slovenia 1-1 Wales
There were ten different scorers, including two own-goals, as France thrashed Estonia 11-0 for a third win in a row.
Kayleigh Green quickly cancelled out Manja Rogan’s goal for Slovenia but the Brighton forward was then sent off.
Greece went third in the group, thanks to substitute Grigoria Pouliou’s goal five minutes from time in Kazakhstan.
