The Freestyle Football Federation today opens the online applications for amateur and professional female freestylers to qualify for a place at the inaugural Female Freestyle Football World Championship 2016. Applications open now and close on 17th May (CET 00.00). The top 8 female freestylers will go on to participate at the first ever Female Freestyle Football World Championship in Melbourne, Australia, between 27th November – 3rd December 2016.
In order to apply, freestylers must record a 60 second (+/- 5 seconds) film uncut and unedited, showing their best skills using only a ball – that means no hands and no props, music is allowed but not essential! A panel of judges, formed by the Freestyle Football Federation’s Sub-committee, will judge each video on difficulty, originality, execution and overall skill. These scores will generate the final rankings and identify the Top 8 female freestylers going through to compete.
In order to apply freestylers must send their RAW video file to submissions@freestylefootball.org titled ‘Female qualifiers’ and provide their name, age and nationality.
