It is with great regret and sadness that Luton Town Ladies have to announce the untimely death of ex-player Fay Howell.
Fay joined the Club as a 13 year old and was part of some highly successful youth squads and two senior promotion squads in her years with the Club and was one of just a few players to have represented Luton Town in the Premier League.
We will all remember her for that trusty left foot and speed but most of all for just being Fay.
Fay was highly thought of by her team mates and management at Luton and we have been flooded with tributes to her since learning of her untimely death. Fay packed an awful lot into her tragically short life and had a very successful career with Network Rail as well as being a budding musician, where she played the drums in a band.
Fay was aged just 25 years old and died suddenly on 5th March 2013.
Our sincere condolences to Mick, who for many years was an important part of the management team, Theresa, Kelly and of course her many team mates and friends. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
The number 19 shirt will be retired from the Club in Fay`s memory.
