Manchester United’s Kirsty Hanson is the Barclays FA WSL player of the month for October, while Chelsea boss Emma Hayes won the manager’s award.
Hanson’s first-half effort opened the scoring in the Reds’ 3-0 win at Spurs and she netted a volley against Reading.
The forward also made her Scotland debut recently in a 5-0 EURO 2021 qualifier win against Albania.
Hanson pipped Kerys Harrop, Chloe Kelly, Vivianne Miedema and Danielle van de Donk to the monthly award.
Emma Hayes has been named the Barclays FA WSL manager of the month for October.
The Chelsea boss steered the Blues to the top of the table following victories in two London derbies, over West Ham and Arsenal.
Hayes saw off Gunners’ Joe Montemurro and Manchester United’s Casey Stoney to win the award.

In the FA Women’s Championship it was Sheffield United’s Jade Pennock who clinched the POTM honour ahead of Melissa Johnson (Aston Villa), Ellie Mason (London City Lionesses) and Saffron Jordan (Blackburn Rovers).
Blades boss Carla Ward commented:
🗣 @cwardy7: “I’m delighted for @JadePennock. Over the past year she’s massively upped her game & can go on to even greater things. She’s such a humble person who doesn’t realise how good she is & how good she can become…”#SUFCW 🔴 pic.twitter.com/F3e4gv9RmN

London City Lionesses Head of Player Development John Bayer has been awarded The FA Women’s Championship Manager of the Month trophy for October by the LMA Panel.
Chair of the LMA panel Marieanne Spacey-Cale MBE told leaguemanagers.com: “John and his coaching staff steadied the ship in a difficult month to guide London City Lionesses into second place in the league.
