Southampton FC went three points clear of local rivals at the top of FA Women’s National League Division 1 South West with a 4-0 midweek win at Poole Town.
Rachel Panting, Shannon Albuery and Ella Morris netted one each before Chloe Newton came off the bench to complete the scoring for the Saints, who gained some breathing space ahead of Southampton Women’s.

Two FAWNL sides both won cup ties, as Enfield Town progressed in the Reposs Isthmian League Women’s Cup and Leyton Orient had an extra-time victory in the Combined Counties competition.
Enfield got all three goals of the game at Eastern League leaders Harlow Town, Macy Diaz on target just 3 minutes in, Beth Lumsden and Olivia Syson adding one apeice.
Orient eventually saw off Greater London Division 1 side Crystal Palace Development just 6 minutes short of a shoot-out. An own-goal in the last 20 minutes of normal time saw the O’s equalise and Sophie Le Marchand grabbed the extra-time winner.
