FA Women’s National League Southern Premier champions Southampton FC were held 3-3 at home after Oxford United’s stoppage-time equaliser.

Oxford claimed a draw at double-winners Southampton late on, having led for much of Wednesday’s fixture. Katie Rood opened for the Saints but Beth Lumsden levelled from the spot and Merrick Will’s solo effort gave United an interval lead. Phoebe Williams and Rosana Parnell struck in the final quarter of an hour to turn the tables in Saints’ favour, only for Cheryl Williams to equalise for Oxford with a free kick.

Leeds secured a top-four finish with victory at FC United, who must now win their last game to have a chance of staying up. Laura Bartup and Amy Woodruff scored early on for the visitors but Chelsea Flanagan quickly pulled one back, following up Kirsty Chambers free kick against the bar. Ash Hayes headed the hosts level with 16 minutes left, only for Cath Hamill’s last-gasp header to seal all three points for Leeds.
Chester le Street edged winless Alnwick 2-1 in the meeting of the bottom two, with both sides already relegated.
