Oxford United’s seven-goal win was just enough to move them top of the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division.

Nottingham Forest are three points clear of local rivals Derby County at the top of the table following a 7-0 sinking of Loughborough Foxes, while the Rams recorded a 5-1 result at Sheffield FC.

Oxford United replaced Watford at the top by a margin of one on goal-difference. Oxford scored seven times at Hounslow, while the Hornets went down 1-0 to a Naomi Cole strike at Crawley Wasps. Cardiff City Ladies made it back-to-back wins at the start of their campaign, with a good 3-2 victory away a Yeovil.

Wolves made it five wins from five and a +33 goal-difference then hitting Wem Town for six, Jade Cross with a 14-minute hat-tick. Second-placed Lincoln City have a game in hand and Doncaster Rovers Belles are level on points with the Imps.

Chester le Street remained hit Durham Cestria for six – with four from Nichole Havery – to stay two points in front of second-placed Brighouse Town, whose Amy Woodruff notched a hat-trick at Chorley. Stockport County went third thanks to a Jess Battle brace.
