Ahead of Sunday’s trip to Nottingham Forest, Liverpool Feds came from 3-1 down to win 5-3 in the FA Women’s National League.

The Feds extended their unbeaten start to life in the Northern Premier Division with a 5-3 win over Brighouse Town, Paige Cole hitting a hat-trick in a dozen second-half minutes to secure the victory.

Solihull Moors lead Division One Midlands on goal-difference from five other teams, following their 3-0 defeat of Wem Town.

Division One North Hull City came from behind to beat York City 4-2 and get off the mark, Hope Knight and  Rachael Ackroyd each bagging a brace.

Hashtag United won 4-1 at London Seaward aided by Emma Samways’ double to leapfrog them into second spot in Division One South East. AFC Wimbledon won by the same score despite conceding early on at Ashford Town, where Ashlee Hincks notched a treble.

With no Barclays Women’s Championship games this Sunday and the BWSL not starting until next weekend, there’s a great opportunity to further swell crowds in the FAWNL.

Northern Premier leaders Burnley look to make it four straight wins when hosting Huddersfield, as do Oxford United in the Southern Premier with a home fixture against Cheltenham.
