Nottingham Forest rounded off the FA Women’s National League midweek matches with a 4-0 victory, before a limited programme this weekend.
Becky Anderson lobbed Forest into an early lead over visitors Loughborough Lightning on Thursday and Rosie Axten doubled the advantage by the break via the post. Sophie Tudor exchanged passes with Naomi Powell before hitting home the third and Sophia Bonser forced a late own-goal to complete the scoring at 4-0. The result left Forest just behind fourth-placed Huddersfield Town on goals scored, while Loughborough sit next to bottom in the Northern Premier table.
