Coventry United’s Jay Bradford was yesterday named as the FAWNL Northern/Southern Division Manager of the Month for October.
Unbeaten Southern Premier leaders, Coventry won all three games played against former WSL opposition in Oxford United and Watford (twice).
Billericay Town’s Kim Coster was the recipient of Manager of the Month award in Division 1. The Essex side have had a strong impact since promotion from the Eastern League, with six wins from eight games and recently restricted Southern Premier title-chasing Chichester City to a 2-0 win in the League Cup.
The FAWNL reported that competition ‘had been fierce, with the smallest of margins determining the winners.’
Nominated bosses who just missed out were: Louis Sowe (West Bromwich Albion), Trevor Rodd (Pymouth Argyle), Matthew Bee (Burnley), Alex Cheal (Cheltenham Town) and Chris Hamilton (Barnsley).
Sixth win in seven for Bedworth
Meanwhile in Midlands Division 1 action on Thursday night, Solihull Moors were sent to an eighth straight defeat by third-placed Bedworth United.
It was a sixth win in seven for the newcomers, who scored all their goals in the second half.
Sarah Rowles with a brace and Lydia Hackney both coming off the bench to net, Shanice Walsh getting their other goal and Riann Hunt replying late for Moors on.
