FAWNL: Huddersfield Town Women win 5-1 at Fylde

Huddersfield Town closed in on Fylde in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier, Southampton continued their title chase in the Southern.

Northern Premier Division

Fylde 1-5 Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield moved within three points of third-placed Fylde with a game in hand, after sending them to a 5-1 home defeat, aided by a Laura Elford hat-trick

Southern Premier Division

Crawley Wasps 0-3 Southampton FC

Southampton’s 3-0 victory at Crawley put them just four points short of leaders Ipswich Town, with two games still in hand. Alisha Ware scored close to half-time, with Sophia Pharoah and Georgie Freeland adding a goal each in the last 13 minutes.

South East Division 1

AFC Wimbledon 2-0 Actonians (Att: 162)
Cambridge United 0-0 Stevenage (Att: 30)
Enfield Town 1-1 Queens Park Rangers (Att: 61)
Kent Football United 0-2 London Seaward (Att: 71)

AFC Wimbledon look good for a third-place finish after defeating Actonians with an Ashlee Hincks double. London Seaward sent Kent Football United down, Stevenage drew at Cambridge United as they battle to escape the drop and were down to ten late on through injury, while the U’s has Emma Jenkins sent off. Enfield are a point above the dotted line after a late Beth Powell leveller against QPR.

South West Division 1

Larkhall Athletic 0-2 Exeter City (Att: 50)

Exeter City are up two places to third following the win at Larkhall, where Mollie Taylor got both goals.
