FAWNL: Boldmere St Michaels promoted to Northern Premier Division

Wolves won the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier, Southampton went top in the Southern, while Boldmere clinched Division 1 Midlands.

Northern Premier Division

Kelly Darby and Tammi George scored first-half goals as Wolves clinched the title against Sheffield FC, Hull City are relegated following a 5-0 home defeat to Huddersfield Town.

Ella Pusey bagged a five-minute brace in Southampton FC’s win over Hounslow, as the Saints became firm favourites for the title with rivals faltering. Ipswich were held at home by relegation-threatened Chichester & Selsey, Oxford lost at Bridgwater.

Boldmere St Michaels were declared champions after Doncaster failed to win at Long Eaton, a Jessica Driscoll double gave Peterborough victory at Leafield, while Burton beat Wem in a relegation ‘six-pointer’.

FC United of Manchester 2-0 Norton & Stockton Ancients (Att: 153)
Leeds United 6-0 Alnwick Town (Att: 1,300)

Liverpool Feds moved within a point of leaders Newcastle with two games in hand, after they won at Bradford and United lost at Chorley. FC United beat Norton to get out of the drop zone at Barnsley’s expense, Alnwick are down after conceding six goals at Elland Road.

Division 1 South East

Queens Park Rangers 3-3 Kent Football United (Att: 78)

Billericay are just a point short of leaders Hashtag United with a game in hand, Harlow were relegated after a defeat at Plough Lane.

Bournemouth won on their Vitality Stadium debut aided by a Becki Bath hat-trick, to sit two points short of leaders Cheltenham with a game to go each. Southampton Women are out of contention after being held by Swindon.
