Liverpool midfielder Ceri Holland has won the FA Women’s Championship Player of the Month award for February 2021.

The 23-year-old joined the Reds in January after four years at the University of Kansas, and came off the bench to score in her debut against Charlton Athletic.

Her first start came against London Bees and once again she found the net, later making it three goals in four games with one in the match with Coventry United, while also assisting in another for a third straight win.

An impressive start for Liverpool has seen her called up to a Wales senior training camp for the first time.

Holland told Liverpoolfc.com: “Obviously it’s been a really good start for me as an individual in my Liverpool career, but it’s been a great month for the team and you don’t win these awards unless the team has a good month.

“Amber [Whiteley – Interim Manager] has got me playing quite confidently at the moment and she’s trying to get the best out of me as a player which I have really benefited from.”
