Bristol City have signed 21-year-old winger Lexi Lloyd-Smith on a two-year deal, following her departure from Southampton.

She spent two seasons with the Saints, having begun her career began in Arsenal’s Academy before spells at Chelsea and Charlton Athletic.

Moving to America, she then played at the highest level of collegiate football for the University of South Alabama.

Lloyd-Smith told bcfc.com: “I can’t wait to get started. The facilities are amazing, and I can’t wait to get out on the pitch to show everyone what I can do.

“I enjoyed meeting the girls too and I love the energy and the vibe at the club. It feels like a big family.”
