Everton Women have a new official partner in Football Manager, with branding to appear across official social media accounts for the team and on interview backdrops.

As part of the agreement, the gaming brand will also feature in pitchside advertising at Everton Women’s Walton Hall Park stadium and at all fixtures played by Willie Kirk’s side at Goodison Park, beginning with Saturday’s season opener in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League against Manchester City (1:30pm kick-off).

Sports Interactive first launched its famous online management simulator in 1992 and the partnership with Everton is one of their first with an FA WSL side.

Reflecting on the announcement, Sarvar Ismailov, Sporting & Commercial Director for Everton Women, said: “This is a hugely exciting partnership for us. Football Manager is a staple of the game. This relationship reflects the parallel ambitions of Football Manager and Everton Women as we look forward to the 2021/22 season – a campaign unlike any other in the history of the women’s game because of the increased profile the new broadcast rights agreement provides.”

Miles Jacobson, Studio Director at Sports Interactive, said: “We’re honoured to be partnering with Everton Women for the new FA WSL season as we create a new chapter in our history with the people’s club. Everton became our first top-flight partner club back in 2008 so it’s fitting that Everton Women are going to be one of our first club partners from the FA WSL. Like everyone else, we can’t wait for the new season to get underway and wish Willie Kirk and his Blues squad every success for the new campaign.”

Everton captain Danielle Turner said: “Football Manager is iconic for any fan. To have them as part of our partner family is both very exciting and an illustration of the progress we are making as a club. We are so excited about the new season and what the future holds – and it is great to know that excitement is shared by a brand as respected as Football Manager.”
