Women's Euro 2025 players at risk of suspension
Ella Toone (No 10) is at risk of missing the quarter-final should England progress because of suspension

With the group stage of Euro 2025 nearly over, here we take a look at which players are one yellow card away from a one-game suspension.

Euro 2025: The England star who could miss the quarter-finals with one more yellow card

Ella Toone is the only England player currently at risk of a one-game suspension if she picks up another yellow card.

The Manchester United star picked up the yellow card during her cameo off the bench in England’s opener against France.

Should Toone pick up a yellow card against Wales, she will miss the quarter-final should the Lionesses progress.

Should England reach the quarter-finals, Toone could also miss the semi-finals if she gets a yellow card in the last-eight clash.

There a number of other notable names who are one yellow card away from a suspension at Euro 2025.

Spain might not want to risk playing pair Laia Aleixandri and Ona Battle in their final group game against Italy.

England would face either Sweden or Germany should they reach the quarter-finals. If Rebecca Knack or Kosovare Asllani pick up a yellow card in Saturday’s clash between Germany and Sweden, then they could miss a potential quarter-final with England.

France have three players at risk of missing the quarter-final with one more yellow card. However, Italy are the nation with the most players at risk with four.

When do prior bookings get wiped at Euro 2025?

If a player picks up two yellow cards across the three group games, they are suspended for the quarter-finals.

If they are booked once in the group stage and once in the quarter-finals, they will be suspended for the semi-finals.

Yellow cards that have not led to a suspension are wiped after the quarter-finals, meaning no player will be suspended for the final, unless they receive a red card.

Who is favourite to win Euro 2025?

According to the UK’s top betting sites, Spain are favourites to win Euro 2025.

Spain are priced at 17/20 to win the tournament, ahead of England and France who are both on 5/1.
