England Women’s U-17 squad announced for Euro qualifiers

A 20-strong squad has been named for England’s 2025 UEFA Women’s U-17 EURO qualifiers in Finland starting this Friday.

The Young Lionesses will face a group consisting of Sweden, Netherlands and Finland for a single place at the finals in the Faroe Islands during May.

Interim head coach Remi Allen will be looking to guide the team into their third consecutive EURO finals, having been runners-up and fourth in the previous two competitions.

Natalie Henderson was head coach at both of those tournaments but will not travel due to personal reasons. Allen, who has previously worked with England WU23s, most recently head coach of Championship side Southampton.

Goalkeepers: Silvana Marshall Miranda (Brighton & Hove Albion), Hope McSheffrey (Arsenal)

Defenders: Zara Bailey (Tottenham Hotspur), Elise Christian (Chelsea), Lucy Day (Birmingham City), Isla Law (Bristol City), Sacha Lewis (Manchester City / Derby County), Niamh Peacock (Arsenal), Chloe Sarwie (Chelsea)

Midfielders: May Cruft (Rangers), Jhanaie Pierre (Tottenham Hotspur), Eva Forster (North Carolina Courage), Isabel Hebard (Bristol City), Eva Hendle (Chelsea), Evie McCaffrey (Manchester City / Derby County), Jane Oboavwoduo (Manchester City), Isabelle Sullivan (Chelsea)

Forwards: Freya Hirons (Aston Villa), Vera Jones (Chelsea), Natasha Udebhulu (Southampton)

  • Friday 14 March: England v Sweden (4.30pm GMT)
  • Monday 17 March: England v Netherlands (11.30am GMT)
  • Thursday 20 March: England v Finland (11.30am GMT)
