England were 5-1 winners over Austria in a UEFA Women’s U-19 Championship 2nd Round Group A3 qualifier at St George’s Park.

The Young Lionesses made it two wins from two in their EURO qualifying second round, after a 6-0 win over Belgium earlier in the week.

This victory was secured with three goals in the first half, Ava Baker first to find the net four minutes in from a Lola Brown cross and Mari Ward quickly doubling the lead after a scramble in the box.

Sarah Gutmann headed past Katie Cox in response but the two-goal cushion was re-established when Alexia Potter played in Vivienne Lia to cut inside and finish decisively.

Cox kept out an effort from Almendina Sisic, Baker’s pass provided a tap-in for Michelle Agyemang and Jessie Gale collected a ball over the top to complete the scoring.

England finish up against Ukraine on Tuesday 8 April, with a 2pm kick-off at St. George’s Park.
