England Women’s U-19s defeated Denmark 5-0 in a friendly international at St. George’s Park this afternoon.

Durham striker Poppy Pritchard scored 15 minutes into her debut, set up by Leicester City’s Ava Baker.

Araya Dennis, who is dual registered with Arsenal and Crystal Palace, then made it 2-0 five minutes later, before grabbing her second half an hour in with a powerful deflected strike.

Substitute Georgia Mullett made it 4-0 with a dozen minutes left and Freya Godfrey beat defenders to add an injury-time fifth.

Amy Merrick’s side next play Germany at 11am on Tuesday 26 September, again at St. George’s Park, before October’s UEFA Women’s U-19 EURO qualifiers when they will face group hosts Wales, plus Czechia and Greece.
