England’s opening game in the final round of UEFA Women’s U-17 EURO qualifiers began with a 3-0 win over hosts Serbia.

The Young Lionesses continue their bid to reach the finals against Greece on Wednesday (10am GMT) and Italy on Saturday (12pm GMT), with only the group winners progressing to the finals in Sweden this summer.

Vera Jones and Denny Draper were denied by the impressive Lana Milinic but the pair combined to break the deadlock close to half time, with Jones rounding the keeper to tap home.

The lead was added to twice in the last ten minutes, Lola Brown crossing for Draper to finish, before converting a penalty won by Erica Parkinson.
