England finished their UEFA Women’s U17 EURO qualifying group with a perfect record after a 3-1 win over Denmark on Thursday afternoon.

After an 11-0 victory over Ukraine in their first match, they followed that up with a 3-0 defeat of group hosts Estonia on Monday, before facing the Danes to decide which nation would come out on top of the group.

Maddy Earl opened the scoring with a half-volley from the edge of the box after eight minutes, before Michelle Agyemang doubled the advantage with a header ten minutes later.

That was how the score remained until the final ten minutes, when Denmark pulled a goal back through Alma Aagaard to set up a tense finale.

But with the game in stoppage time, England restored their two-goal cushion through Ava Baker’s strike and secured top spot in the group to boot as they look to set up another trip to Estonia for the U17 EURO Finals next summer.
