England are already in a dangerous predicament at Women’s Euro 2025 after their opening defeat to France.
The Lionesses had high hopes going into Euro 2025, after winning the trophy for the first time three years ago.

A victory would see the Lionesses and the Netherlands both locked on three points going into the final group game. Sarina Wiegman’s side would have the advantage given that they face Wales on the final day, while the Netherlands face France.
Bayern Munich midfielder Georgia Stanway has urged the Lionesses to ‘put things right’ against the Netherlands.
She suggested that there wasn’t enough communication during the opening game against France.
The Netherlands found it comfortable against Wales in their opening game – however it was Rhian Wilkinson’s side’s first ever game at a major tournament. Wiegman’s Lionesses should pose a far greater threat when the two nations meet on Wednesday.

This could be one of the most exciting group stage games at Euro 2025, especially given the amount that is at stake here.
The Lionesses know how important a victory is with zero points currently on the board. However, the Netherlands pose a dangerous threat and will be keen to qualify with one game to spare.
