Later this month the Young Lionesses will be flying out to Los Angeles for the NTC Invitational Tournament and Mo Marley has named her squad, heavily featuring a selection Everton’s talent with five of 20 call-ups coming from the Merseyside outfit.
Five of the players involved in the 2014 U20s World Cup have been named in the squad; Jess Carter, Leah Williamson, Katie Zelem, Natasha Flint and Gabby George.
Although England did not qualify for the U20s World Cup, the Young Lionesses will face three nations that are preparing for the competition: Brazil, South Korea and USA.
The NTC Invitational will open up for England on 15th September when they take on Brazil, the following fixture will be USA on the 17th before closing the tournament against South Korea the following day.
All of the matches will take place at the dedicated US soccer national training centre Glenn ‘Mooch’ Myernick Field in California.
